Founding of sierrakilo.aero GmbH

sierrakilo.aero was born out of our passion for flying, with a mission to authentically bring the fascination of aviation to life and share it with others - from the cockpit and beyond. Our slogan, “Where passion takes you,” reflects our belief that genuine enthusiasm opens up new perspectives and allows you to experience the world from the air in a unique way - with real insights into modern general aviation and a high standard of content and visual quality.

sierrakilo.aero GmbH was already founded in November 2025 as a wholly owned subsidiary of scalum GmbH. Having established the organizational and operational foundations, sierrakilo.aero is now ramping up its business operations.

The company consolidates our aviation-related activities into a standalone entity and combines the appeal of general aviation with three key areas of focus:

Aviation Lifestyle

Flying is not merely viewed as a means of transportation, but as a perspective on mobility, technology, and decision-making processes. Aviation Lifestyle offers practical insights into modern general aviation - from flight preparation and operational procedures to the efficient use of aircraft as a mode of travel that redefines distance.

Visual Content

A key focus is on creating high-quality visual content from the air and on the ground. Photographic and video formats document actual flights, technical processes, and unique perspectives, combining documentary integrity with modern visual design.

Flight (B)log

The Flight (B)log explores experiences, background information, and technical topics from the world of aviation - ranging from specific aviation-related content and travelogues to insights from the cockpit that can be applied to other fields.

Upon closer examination, numerous parallels also emerge between flying and entrepreneurial activity: for example, in thorough preparation, high-quality decision-making, structured risk management, handling responsibility, strong situational awareness, clear priorities, as well as a systematic approach and continuous improvement.

It is precisely these commonalities - and what can be derived from them for business practice - that we will explore in one of our upcoming articles titled “Aviation-inspired Business”. In it, we will demonstrate which principles from aviation are also relevant to business and what insights they can provide for business decisions.
